On December 16th, 2021, Malaysia witnessed the worst flood that hit Sri Muda since 1995. It kickstarted a flood relief initiative and collaboration between Semart and 2R2 lead by Adib Ruzaini Bin Najib, 30.
The initiative started off with the intention of donating 30 cartons of mineral water by the Semart team to the flood victims in Kampung Baru Hicom, however we received an overwhelming response from fellow Malaysians to start a flood relief, and so started the journey of Semart x 2R2 flood relief.
How We Helped
The initiative gathered 12 volunteers who helped distribute aids such as food, mineral water, boxed drinks, clothing, comforters, blankets, pillows, sanitary pads, diapers, infant formula, toothbrushes, toothpastes, shower gels, masks and many more.
We also managed to help in cleaning up houses that were inundated by the flood. The cleanup started with more than 15 volunteers, which sped up the process to cleaning up each house in 2 days.
We at Semart believe in the betterment of social and environmental welfare, beginning with actions that lead to a greater good. We would like to thank Adib, Danial, Fahim, Azif and their wives that volunteered in distributing aid, and lending their 4×4 vehicles and cars during this initiative. Kita Jaga Kita!
